Balancing Material and Personal Success

The Art of Living for Postgraduate Economists

Hey there! As a postgraduate student in economics, I'm excited to welcome you to my first post on my blog. Today, I want to talk about the Art of Living philosophy and how it relates to my studies in economics.

As economists, we often focus on data, trends, and forecasts, but sometimes it's easy to forget the importance of living in the moment and finding meaning in our lives. The Art of Living philosophy emphasizes the importance of being present and making the most of each day. It teaches us to be mindful, compassionate, and patient and helps us cultivate a greater sense of joy and contentment in our lives.

In economics, we learn about the importance of making informed decisions and maximizing our resources. The Art of Living philosophy can help us apply these concepts to our personal lives by teaching us to prioritize our well-being and make decisions that support our happiness and fulfilment. By balancing our focus on economics with a focus on our well-being, we can create a life that is rich in both material and personal success.
As the Dalai Lama once said, 'Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions.'
This is an important reminder that our own actions and choices play a key role in determining our level of happiness and fulfilment in life, which is a central theme of the Art of Living philosophy.

Well, that's it for now. I hope you enjoyed this introduction to the Art of Living philosophy and how it relates to being a postgraduate student in economics. Stay tuned for my next post where we'll dive deeper into this fascinating topic.

See you then! In the meantime, don't forget to live in the moment and appreciate the little things in life.

xoxo,
Aini Yoon💜
